My oldest work
My scanner is still MIA, but I thought that I should at least put something up. To that end, I figured that I might as well showcase how my work has improved (using my existing scans). As a result, here are some of my earliest pieces, made a number of years ago:
I made this in no time at all, while waiting for my mother to pick me up from summer school. I hate using bead cups, but I was working with thread and didn't know about other options at the time.
I made this one over the course of watching several hours' worth of TV. Again, I was unfamiliar with the technique, but it was a great learning experience.
This was my first wire-wrapped (and second overall) rosary, using sterling silver wire and fancy jasper. The scan really doesn't do the beads justice, their depth and variety of color was really quite rich. I really liked the cross, and thought it went well with the beads. Sadly, I no longer have this rosary, as I buried with my sister's cat a couple of years ago.
I really liked how this type of jasper looks with snowflake obsidian and white lace agate, so I made this triple strand. The strands are actually at graduated lengths and can be worn flat, but I like to twist them and wear it close to the neck.
